Chronic gastritis includes long-term irritation which could last for years if it’s left untreated.


Erosive gastritis is a less commonplace form of the condition. It usually doesn’t reason much inflammation, but can lead to bleeding and ulcers within the lining of the belly.

What causes gastritis?
Weakness on your stomach lining permits digestive juices to damage and inflame it, causing gastritis. Having a thin or damaged stomach lining raises your hazard for gastritis.

A gastrointestinal bacterial contamination can also purpose gastritis. The most common bacterial infection that reasons it’s far Helicobacter pylori. It’s a bacterium that infects the lining of the belly. The contamination is generally passed from person to character, but also can be transmitted thru contaminated food or water.
