So it has were given to be a top-notch one, excessive on aesthetics, but touchy and refined. The actor’s dream domestic at Thevara, Kochi, colourfully comes into life with a row of arali timber (Nerium oleander) in complete bloom setting up the backdrop. The atmosphere is already there, of leaves and pink flora carpeting the granite-laden garden. The area is covered in green with flora and timber hiding the dwelling house from prying eyes. A pandal, made of timber planks, but without a roof, status on finely carved pillars is an eye catching feature. In the inexperienced yard stands an antique cycle rickshaw below a one by one structured roof. That’s reputedly a souvenir, some thing Mohanlal took for himself whilst he enacted the character of ‘Pappu’ from the 1965 movie ‘Odayil Ninnu’ for Manorama’s well-conceived stage show ‘Kathayattam’, geared toward selling Malayalam literature.
